Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa died, 5th death in Punjab with coronavirus

The corona epidemic caused a fifth death on Thursday in Punjab. Former Hazoori Ragi of Sri Harmandir Sahib, Padmashree Nirmal Singh Khalsa is no more. A new case also surfaced. With this the number of infected patients has increased to 47.

Padmashree Bhai Nirmal Singh, suffering from Corona virus infection, breathed his last at around 4.30 am in the isolation ward of Guru Nanak Dev Hospital. The news of the death of Nirmal Singh Khalsa is shocking. He was admitted to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital three days ago on cough and cold and mild fever.

Earlier, Khalsa was admitted for a few days to Sri Guru Ram Das Medical College, run by SGPC. The doctors there were found to be suffering from corona virus during treatment. He was then admitted to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital. Where three days ago their samples were sent to the lab built in the Government Medical College. On Wednesday, the report confirmed that he was infected with Corona and died on Thursday morning.

At the same time, after Khalsa’s report came positive, his house was quarantined. The surrounding area was sealed. According to the information received, two people who got Nirmal Singh Khalsa admitted to Sri Guru Ram Das Ji Medical College have also been quarantined. One of them is said to be a journalist of a Punjabi newspaper.

On another side, Person resident of village Pansra in Gadashankar of Hoshiarpur district has been found corona positive. District Epidemiologist Dr. Shailesh told that this is the seventh corona suffering patient of the district. He was brought to the Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur Isolation Ward, from where he has been referred to the Government Medical College Amritsar.

Padmashree Nirmal Singh Khalsa, a former Hazoori ragi of Shri Harmandir Sahib, no longer on Thursday. Before this, a 70-year-old elderly Pathi of Nawanshahar district died on 18 March from Corona. On the night of 29 March, a person from village Moranwali of Hoshiarpur district, admitted to Guru Nanak Dev Medical College and Hospital in Amritsar, died. On March 30, a 42-year-old woman from Amarpura, Ludhiana, admitted to Patiala, was dead. On March 31, a 65-year-old man, resident of Naya Gaon in Mohali, died. He was undergoing treatment at PGI Chandigarh.

Number of infected patients reached 47 in the state

In Punjab, the corona virus (Covid-19) is spreading its legs constantly. After confirming five more positive cases in three districts on Wednesday, the epidemic victims in the state have reached 47, of which five people have died so far.

According to the latest health department report, out of the five new cases reported on Wednesday, one each in Ludhiana and Amritsar districts and three in Mohali have been found to be corona positive. Two of the three Mohali-infected people belong to Chandigarh and one fell ill due to contact with a foreign tourist.

So far, a total of 1260 suspected cases have been reported in Punjab, after examining the samples, 1149 cases were found to be negative, while 65 reports are yet to come. Only one patient has been cured. As a precautionary measure, the health department has also kept all these victims and suspects under intense medical supervision.

How many people infected in which district, punjab

In Punjab, 46 people have been confirmed to be corona positive. These include 19 from Nawanshahar district, 10 Mohali, 7 Hoshiarpur, 5 Jalandhar, 3 Ludhiana, one from Patiala and two from Amritsar district.
