Ranveer Singh’s ’83’ will be release on the day when India won the World Cup?

Ranveer Singh recently announced on Twitter that the release of his next film 83 has been postponed indefinitely and the new release date will be announced after the Corona crisis is resolved. It is now reported that the makers are planning to release the film on 25 June.

A media report quoted a source as saying that 25 June is a special day when India defeated the West Indies at Lord’s and won the Cricket World Cup 37 years ago. There is no better opportunity than this day to live that moment. It seems as if destiny only wanted the film to be released on this special day.

However, it is currently a back-up plan and will be reevaluated in May, given the state of the corona virus. The source said that the country’s health interests are above the film and its release, and the makers will announce the release date only when it is safe for the audience to go to the cinema hall. Rest assured, the film will not be released if there is even a 1 per cent fear among the audience, as the makers want the whole country to go to the cinema hall to relive the special day of Indian cricket.
Ranveer Singh will be seen in the film playing former World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev and Deepika Padukone, playing Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev.

Kabir Khan Films Production’s ’83’ is presented by Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films. The film is produced by Deepika Padukone, Kabir Khan, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, Phantom Films, Reliance Entertainment and 83 Film Limited.
